VIEW RATES & AVAILABILITY

25 Jarvis Street Townhouse is a spacious and luxurious three bedroom house with a balcony, courtyard and roof deck. Today this sought after area is the antithesis of its troubled history. Still reflecting much of its 200 year old architectural heritage, it is a cobbled street shoppers delight. Affectionately known as the ‘pink village’, De Waterkant is internationally renowned for its open-minded attitude and gay-friendly nightlife and a wide choice of super-trendy restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries and boutiques.

The Townhouse is located in Jarvis Street and consists of:

On the ground floor there is a lovely living room and a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances.

On the mezzanine floor there is a bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom.

On the first floor two bedrooms are fitted with king size beds and both have en-suite bathrooms, the main with a bath and separate shower, the second a full bathroom with shower.

A courtyard, connected with the kitchen, allows guests to dine al fresco. And why not have a drink on the beautiful furnished terrace on the roof, watched over by the magnificent Table Mountain.

Completing the facilities of the house are a washing machine, fibre internet and air conditioning.

The area:

The De Waterkant neighbourhood is home to a lively, tolerant and lifestyle centered community. Yoga studios, bistros, trendy shops and hairdressers line the streets and cultures from all over the globe mingle freely and happily.

De Waterkant is now Cape Town’s most fashionable district, with beautifully restored 19th century homes painted in bright hues crammed into a tight cobbled grid of streets, climbing up towards Signal Hill.

Most of these are in the Cape Quarter, a shopping / dining complex with a charming outside piazza, a central water feature and trees with twinkly lights.

  1. The Purple House exceeded our expectations – what a delightful, comfortable, homey place to stay for a few days. The apartment is spacious, giving us all a place to decompress at the end of each day, with awesome outdoor spaces. Sitting on the roof deck with a bottle of wine was a treat! The location is fantastic, with great food options and shopping, walking distance to downtown, easy uber ride elsewhere. Ask your hosts for dinner suggestions – that’s how we ended up at an incredible Italian place up the block.
