  1. We felt so much at home from the moment Henk and Guido opened the door of 19 Jarvis for us. The cottage is very cosy and you have just everything you need in it. And it is so handy to have Henk and Guido next door!

Thanks Henk and Guido for your kindness and total availability to help!

  2. Centrally situated, beautiful cottage. We managed to attend meetings during the day and explored the scenery during late afternoons and early evenings. Shops and restaurants are situated close by.

Thank you for a great stay!

  3. Beautiful place, great location! Henk and Guido are wonderful hosts, very flexible. Gorgeous master bathroom, If we had to make any suggestion for improvements, it would be that it got very cold at night – space heaters or hot water bottles would have been much appreciated.
(NB: in the meantime we got a space heater for the second bedroom, the first one already had an electric heater, and we created a facility for guests to light the fireplace in the lounge if they wish to do so).

We would absolutely recommend this location to anyone, or any other property run by Henk and Guido! Thank you for a wonderful time!

  4. Wonderful experience staying at Noon Day. The House has a lovely, comfortable feel and beautiful décor. The area is very vibrant with lots of coffee shops, restaurants + shops. The Spar is also fantastic for groceries etc. Feels like home! Main bedroom is gorgeous!

  5. The stay was lovely, not only is the guesthouse wonderful, well furnished (stylish), clean and centrally located within the city and very spacious, the experience has been an absolute bliss.

Everything you need is there, the staff is helpful and the area has all the lovely views of the Mother City. Our stay was one that we will never forget. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else but there when we come to the mother city again. Thank you for the friendly and warm hospitality, we really appreciated it. Keep up the great job and thank you, thank you, thank you for an awesome experience J.

  6. Henk + Guido were very welcoming & informative. The house was even better than the photos, which do not do it justice! Location is super to access all parts of Cape Town. Four of us were staying & there was ample space. All amenities needed were provided. We cannot recommend Noon Day Cottage enough. Thanks for a great stay. Here to be back.

  7. Geweldig sfeervol huis in Victoriaanse stijl, van alle comfort voorzien. Voelde als thuiskomen. Gunstig gelegen in een mooie wijk. Henk en Guido zijn fantastische gastheren. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Noon Day Cottage.

  8. In our opinion, staying in the De Waterkant district is one of the best ways to experience Cape Town, with its village-like intimacy and hip, upmarket appeal. So it was a real joy to find the Noon Day Cottage, a charming and utterly comfortable two-bedroom home just across the street from the Cape Quarter retail complex.

The house was thoughtfully and handsomely appointed throughout, with cottage-y furnishings and every possible guest amenity. Bathrooms are large and the full kitchen ideal for a quick breakfast or occasional meals.

Henk and Guido were both helpful hosts and attended to our every request. In short, we had a wonderful time and recommend it to anyone who wants to explore and enjoy this wonderful little corner of Cape Town.

The one caveat is that, while it’s a perfect place to hole up for a quiet getaway, late night revelers who frequent the area on weekends might be annoying to light sleepers in the front bedroom. No such problem with the back bedroom, which has its own small, private courtyard terrace. Very peaceful and quiet.)
